Silicon Systems was founded in 1972 as a semiconductor center that specialized in the design and manufacture of application-specific (mixed-signal) integrated circuits (ASICs). Sometime in the late 1980s, the company was acquired by TDK, who eventually sold the interest to Texas Instruments in 1996. We have not encountered a great number of chips from this company, but the photomicrograph above illustrates the corporate logo that we have discovered on several integrated circuits. |
